I think that LDRs don't work, unless if both of you are certain that you are both serious for one another and that you both know that ... well you're going to get married. OR it could be that both of you have been together for a very long time, then you get separated.. I believe LDR will work because you truly love one another. Nevertheless, long distance relationships is always difficult, but worth it if you stick to the rules above :)

Good afternoon all~ Gosh, the holidays have gone away so fast! A few weeks ago, I was telling you how I wasn’t excited for the holidays, but now if I’d have to sum up how my overall holidays were, I would say that it was actually alright. I went out a few times with my family to the city and to go shopping. I didn’t end up getting the perfume I wanted (Lovely by Jessica Simpson) BUT I got a $60 itunes gift card instead to share with my brother :) Haha. And we got lots of food which makes me even happier. LOL. Because seriously, the routine for every student is I guess – you study, you get bored, so you check in the fridge or food storage, you don’t find anything yummy, you grumble then you have no motivation to study.. right? Well that’s the good thing about food! You always have something to look forward to during your study break. Right? ….. N-No?..... alright… *awkward* maybe that’s just me then.. Hahahah! :D Anyways speaking of food, I still haven’t gotten over the joke that my two guy friends said to me at camp.
The story was:
We were all in a study session in the hall, and I was in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil. I had nothing else to do, so I ate a biscuit which tasted horrible, and I drink some cordial. I finally gave up waiting for the kettle to boil so I went back to my table with all my friends. One of my friends happened to have Shapes. But I continued studying. Later on, I needed my environment booklet back (which I had previously given to Suchet – My friend) and so before I left to find him, I grabbed 1 SHAPE. When I arrived at his table with all of his friends, I asked for it back. Then my other friend SHAUN decided that it would be funny to say this – “Hey Merry! How come whenever I see you, you are ALWAYS eating!? Hahahahahah!” Then suchet added – “Yeah Merry!!!!! From 6.00 until now, I saw you in the kitchen!!!!! HAHAHAHA.” Then they both laughed, while everyone else was staring at me. And I was like (OMG…………..) and I was sooooo embarrassed so I shouted back – “WHAATT!!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!! I was waiting for the kettle to boil!!!!!!!! And I’m eating ONE SHAPE!!! Is that a sin or something huh?!” Because I was sooo embarrassed infront of all my guy friends who were sitting at the table, I went away shouting to shaun and suchet – “That’s it! I’m not talking to you two! HUMPH.” Then I went back to my table, feeling so guilty. A few minutes later, shuan came to my table and said – “(smiles) hey merry, it was a joke!!” and I was like – “Im not talking to you! Humph.” And you know, before this happened, Suchet and I were walking together and he wanted to make a joke and he said something like your body isn’t the same as mine (skinny). Hahahaha. And I was like.. thanks.
The thing is…. NO ONE can talk about my weight EXCEPT ME. It’s a very sensitive topic for me ever since I was young. I had been bullied about it all through primary school. And Indonesia culture also likes to tease and focus on anyone who isn't thin. I hate it. I mean, I’m not really angry at Shaun and Suchet anymore, but I don’t think it’s something that I can easily forget. The problem with being short, is that my weight must be below 45kg in order for me to look… “acceptable” or “pleasant” for the eyes. My weight is currently 51kg, and my other friends are the same as me or even more than that, but because they are taller than me, they look “just right” and they have a fantastic bod. No one messes with them. But me, since I’m short, and although I’m not overweight, I LOOK like I’m fat or chubby because my theighs are fat and my arms are fat… BECAUSE I’m SHORT. It’s actually a frustrating thing to think about actually… and I was saying to myself that I’m fine with who I am right now, but when people come along to make jokes about my weight or eating habits because I’m not “the right size for them”, it takes away that self confidence that was originally in me.
So a message for all the boys out there, or even perhaps girls as well:
Please don’t ever insult a girl, even though you might be close friends with her. Although she might act tough, she might be in denial to cover her true feelings. Teasing someone about their weight or eating habits reduces their self confidence. Would you rather have a confident happy friend, or someone who is bulimic or anorexic instead? So before you blurt out something, think again. Most girls are very sensitive and very emotional – Keep that in mind.

So anyway, I'll move on from being amused by my status history from facebook, and continue with reality. :) My friend you see, he currently got a girlfriend right... and in the conversation, he wrote to someone - "I don't like her I love her." And as much as I was annoyed at him at that time (because before hand he pissed me off for being so annoying..), I tried to resist the urge of posting an offensive status on my facebook page that would indirectly hint him about my opinions about love. That's why, I changed the idea of being offensive and made it to something like this quote that I made a few days ago:
Surprisingly, I got 10 likes by the end of the day, which made me feel good because I resisted from doing something mean and something that could potentially hurt not only him, but her as well. Since this is my journal, I wanted to briefly discuss - what is the difference between like and love? Well to me, liking someone means that you had some sort of chemistry between you and him instantly. Or vice versa. Liking someone means that you're head over heels for them. That all that you think of is nothing but them. When you giggle at anything they say or even when you feel nervous just seeing them or even being with them. That you just want to be with them, and want her/him to be yours...
LOVE on the other hand is a much perplexing, complicated thing to comprehend. Being in love can either mean you have a beautiful partner whom you want to spend your entire life with. How can I be more confident in myself? I recently joined a student group and I am responsible for leading a team of 4 people. One of my members recently quit. How should I go about leading this group? I've never done anything like this before. Thnx
First, you must have trust in yourself and believe that you can lead this group. Being the leader is not always so scary, as long as you know the aim of the activity and you know where you're trying to head to. I think it's normal to feel like you want to give up if a group member quit the group, but you can try to ignore those negative situations that can pull you down and think of the positive things. Think of the things you can gain after being the leader of this group - you will surely gain new experiences. A good leader must have an open mind, optimistic, determined and willing to listen to new ideas. :)

Interesting question actually. I don't think I can judge ALL couples as being one stereotype.. But here's what I've got to say to the couples who I've seen so far. There are those who are inseparable, which I have no problem with, because I think it's kinda cute because obviously they are in love and so I'm happy for them. I'm okay with seeing couples hold hands, hug or being all lovey dovey. But there are those who go waaaay FAR beyond the limitations in terms of showing their love in public. Making out or even sucking each other's faces is completely their right to do so, but I think it's truly inappropriate to display that full speed action in front of many people and still show no shame in front of us. If they want to get intimate or something, they can do it privately elsewhere. Simple right?

Helloooos~~~~! Gosh I'm so annoyed at this stupid KPop web thing that I'm trying to download for secret garden... it says that it's gonna finish downloading in 8 HOURS!!! That's right, EIGHT FRICKEN HOURS!!!! Sigh. Anyways, for the past two days, me and ashie did the medentry workshop thing, and it was pretty good and useful. There was no really hot guys though at the venue, and heaps of smart super geniuses that surrounded us. Hahaha. Gosh although it's the holidays, I miss already being with mah friends :( I think camp was a really good opportunity for me to expand my friendship. Since usually I would only hang with the same people every time in any event or activity, this time it was a change for me. It was really convenient that everyone in my cabin knew bahasa Malay and nobody was left out in any conversation or anything. Spending time with them having girl-to-girl talk every night really bonded our friendship I think. Also, watching Korean Dramas made us share something we have in common (since most of us were kpop lovers. hehe) . Then yeah, I really enjoyed the heart to heart talk every night :) Hehe. Anyways, I think I better finish my 1st Envi IA ... haha ... and tomorrow I'll TRY to do my 2nd one... since today I realised that it is actually harder than the first one... haha . Okay , toooodles!! xx

Hellooooos~! I just got back from camp, which I think was suprisingly fun for me :] I think it's because a lot of exciting things happened and the people I was around with were fun people <3 hehe. I was in a cabin with Ainul, Ellena, Ashley, Villy, Marie, Fatin and Amal, and we all got along - even better when we all understand Bahasa :D haha. Then every night we would have girl talks or giggle to korean dramas. I was showing them Secret Garden and they got addicted to it ! hahaha. YAY :) Then today when we were coming back home, we played truth and dare, and it was dayum fun! We were playing it with the boys - Jong Bum, Abu and Fauzan. and actually wafi was listening and who ever was listening, the rules is that they must join and play. But he kept avoiding!!! ckckck. Anyways, I think it was a nice camp, and it was just lovely to get closer to us girls :)

I am really moody tonight. My flu is just getting worse; I’m sleepy, tired, and reluctant to even exist. This time I’m not complaining about IB. Although, I’ve got three things due tomorrow, that’s not on my mind. I am so frustrated at the moment; I’m too emotional to even write in a paragraph. I’m angry because:
- STOP BEING SO MANJA TO MY DAD. Like for goodness sake, GO BE MANJA TO YOUR OWN FATHER. And stop ringing me and my dad for 3 seconds, expecting us to ring you back! Well guess what - We wont ! OKAY?
- I AM SICK. I just sneezed like 10 times just now. And I’m sniffing like crazy. I sound like a man. And ALL the Kleenex tissues are FINISHED. Ughhhhhhh!
- This GUY might come on Saturday, and I don’t WANT him to come! Hes just gonna flirt with that girl and speak indo and ughhhhhhhhhhh.
- On Saturday I’m gonna have nowhere to sleep and I’m gonna be awkward the WHOLE night because the teacher will be there. (-_-)

Hellooooo, I am so not in the mood to do homework right now... so I'll blog for a moment. The Semarang Students from Indonesia are so friendly, which is really lovely. I'm sort of being a host for like half the population that came.. :S hahaha. I mean I don't mind really, because it's the end of term~ so yeah~ I'm excited for this weekend because we are all hanging out, so I'm hoping we'll take a lot of pictures. OH OH! My dad said he wants to buy one of those really professional cameras! :D so that means MAYBE I'll get to use it!!! Hahaha. So that means my dad isn't so olden day. xD hahaha. maybe except for computers though . LOL . Anyways, Envi is really bothering me. I better go and finish it.

I'd rather stay in Australia because I feel more comfortable here :) It's much more cleaner and safer here too. In Indonesia, there is a huge gap between the rich and the poor - I dont like this. That's why I prefer living here in Aus because the majority is average~ :) and I speak English better than Indonesian. Haha.
I'm not entirely against this typography, I just disagree with the last part. I think it's human to expect them to do the same, or AT LEAST have expectation that they will put as much effort as you have done to them . Because if they don't put as much effort and you think that is OKAY, then they obviously done value you as much as you value them. Hence, the relationship between you and him (or vice versa) is not worth it. I'm not necessarily being materialistic, because you don't need money to show your love to someone, it's your intentions and how much effort you put in to show how much you care about that person. But if a person spends like $100 for a gift, I think it's unfair that the other only spends like $10. Because obviously, that tells you something about that person. (*cough* cheapo *cough*). I don't know, everyone's different I guess, because everyone has been raised differently, but I just have this thing where we should always treat others how we would like to be treated. We should always predict how the other person will respond or how that person might feel if we do something to them. Like for valentines day, a girl would love to get attention from her boyfriend, and this simple attention could be fullfilled if the guy buys her roses or something that she likes (maybe a teddy? for those who are like ashley and has a weak spot for cute and cuddly inanimate objects), but someone I knew, only bought his girlfriend a few chocolates that were worth 50cents. Meanwhile, a lot of girls who were single got like 5 roses from lots of guys or even 20 roses from one guy! I mean ... yeah .... you know.. what girl wouldn't feel something if it happened to her?
Saturday afternoon..
Just got back from the study group sessions. So lazy to change clothes right now... haha. Anyways~ It was a nice day today, I reckon. Somehow better than last week? :) Maybe because Michelle was there. ^^ I discovered that I still wanted to be some sort of love guru in the future. Maybe I'll just stick with being a love guru for my friends who are around my age. Because I can still relate to them in some way. If some old person asked for advice from me... then that would be awkward.. I mean, I still wouldn't mind asking, except I would feel weird because shouldn't she have more experience than I do? :S Nevertheless, I still wanna become a doctor :D haha. Oh! And me and ash already planned to go on a KPOP drama marathon after graduation. We end up becoming high and start to giggle at all the hot / cute guys in the show... I mean, its not our faaauuuuult that they are good looking.. hahaha. :P
