The Lord who strengthens me.

Hello hello! My break is almost over :( But I am looking forward to continuing the semester although I am aware that this is the busiest time of the year! Assignments and intense exam study due at the same time. So much to do, so little time! D: So I've spent my holidays going on various site visits for my environments group projects. I feel like a environmental manager because I have to evaluate the site, think about people's needs and norms, complexities of systems, but you know what? I don't think it's suited for me. I can imagine how stressed I would be if I were to be an environmental manager. There is so much critical thinking to do, a never ending list of tasks to be completed within a short time and a huge amount of group work involvement. It's been interesting to know how it feels like to be an environmental student, but now I know that it's not for me...

Moving on, I will be going to the Royal Melbourne Show with a few of my friends from Student Life! I'm going with Jeremy, Celine and Justin. It should be fun and I am hoping that the weather will be as beautiful and sunny as today! :D I can't wait to go on thrilling rides!! :O

Something I learnt this week was that depending on ourselves (i.e. Human strength and knowledge) is not sufficient. When we are trying to overcome a problem and use our human strength, most of the times we fail or we only partially complete it. Well that's what I have discovered about myself. I have been trying to overcome this problem of mine, and whenever I try to do it on my own, I fail most of the times. But now, I have discovered that by trusting in God, He will strengthen you and fix your problem. He will release all the problems burdening you. And He is the only one that can do that! It is really amazing seeing Him work through people in life! Very inspiring indeed.

Another thing I have learnt is that only God can be our faithful friend forever. The friendships that we have in this world can hurt us several times. Most of the times, if there is a clash between people, it can lead to broken hearts, scars, arguments and failing friendships. Different opinions and personalities can make us upset, frustrated and angry for being ignored or betrayed and it will only make us do bad things in order to feel satisfaction against that person! How awful. But you see, Lord Jesus will never disappoint us! He is always beside us, he is REAL and he even helps with deal with the issue. He will resolve our problems the correct way and will never betray us. Unlike humans who tend to feel tired if someone continues to cry in front of them and goes on about their problem to them, our Father is never like that! In fact, when we are weak and cry in front of him, he will comfort us and will never get tired of hearing our painful stories. Unlike humans, He will always be there for us. We can really feel His presence when we feel at peace and our tears are wiped away by Him. Our father is so loving that he strengthens us even in our weakest moments and I am so thankful to have Him. :')

Mid Semester Break!

Hello hello! Sorry I haven't blogged in a while! My last uni weeks have been really hectic! :l and I've been sick too. Sorry~~~ But now I'm on break so I can do a little catching up. Although I've got heaps of assignments piled up. Hoih.

University: Anyway, half the semester has passed and I must say that if I did not get involved with Student Life or Universe, I would probably be some stress head who has no life! University is all about balance between family, studies and social life. It's really hard sometimes but it's good to have it balanced because they even out and make life more enjoyable. Studying 24/7 isn't really healthy, and what I've found is the more I isolate myself from the world, I actually become less productive! So in the end, I take 5 times longer to complete something because along the way, all I did was grumble.. Hahaha. But if I take a few breaks every now and then to refresh my mind, I seem to do things quicker. Also the power of prayer is important! Without it, I wouldn't be where I am now.

Faith: God has really blessed me this semester, and I can see it through His works. He has answered a lot of my prayers and I feel more positive in life. Of course I am not perfect and I make a few mistakes every now and then, but the feeling that He will always be there beside me to guide me through life's toughest times, comforts me greatly.

Personal: This semester, I have definitely been exposed to so many new friends and guys! I have heaps of new friends whom are all Christian! And it's just really great to share our faith and love together. But speaking of guys and all.. M2 is trying to speak to me all the time. I don't know but I find it really ironic how at the beginning of the semester, he was so distant from me, and he never replied my texts... and now he is always like "kitty~~~" and I'm like... What do you want.... Lol. I mean I guess I got tired from being ignored. There are new people in my life and I'm not sure if I want to use the word "replace" , but I sure don't feel the same towards him anymore. I feel annoyed whenever I'm trying to study and he's always like bringing up the past memories of us.. which I don't want to dwell on anymore. I still reply to him of course, because I'm not that mean... but I am just less... Talkative with him. I still feel a lot of differences between us and he does say inappropriate jokes still.. so I dont have the motivation to be as close as we used to. Sorry.. I just had to let that out. :(

Now as for my love life. Hahahaha. Nothing too exciting has happened yet! :P Well there have been a few things that have happened between a few guys but man, I need to go now.. to a field trip.. and it will take me ages to write it all on here. LOL. Toodles x

Nearly there..

Hi ! Yay ! I passed another week of busy university life ! I think next week should be less busy and less stressful. But I need to study for my 2 biology mid-semester tests.. :( And I realised that my midsemester break is in ANOTHER two weeks ! Still so long away ! Huhu. Anyways, a lot of things have happened for the past 2 weeks... (Wait when did I last blog? Haha). There are many positive notes that have happened despite my busy schedule.

Personal stories: Firstly, I have finally moved into my new home ! Well not technically... Because we haven't moved our heavy furniture in.. But still ! Now I don't have to wake up super early and whenever I come home late, my home is just 2 minutes away from the station~~ Compared to my last home, it was 20 minutes away. Haha. So yeah that's good for me. :D

University: Next, I was offered to be a 1st year representative for the Christian club - Universe ! Which means that in 3rd year, I will some what be one of the leaders !! Horray !! I am really excited, because I have a few ideas (maybe) about changing some of the current ideas. You see, there are 200+ of Universe members on FB, but only like 15 people (sometimes less!) actually come to the weekly meetings ! And most of them are regular attenders.. I am guessing that the others only attend the "English Classes" that Universe provides... Only to receive their own benefit. :\ SOO, I was thinking, although English classes is a good idea.. (helping others is always a nice thought) but that doesn't actually promote Christianity or letting people know more about God personally ! So hopefully, when I am an official member, I will try to let in some new ideas so that people actually COME to weekly meetings and become a FAMILY! Hahaha. I'm excited! And I am glad that God has used me to do this~

Secrets:
So, I was telling you the other time about a guy I met at a club... and I was interested in him because you know, he is older than I am, he's goodlooking, TALL and loves God. And you know, a lot of things have happened since then ! I saw him on FB right... But I didn't want to feel desperate, so I was just thinking to myself, if he wants to be my friend, he will add me first. And you know... the next day he did! :O Then I thought... Wait, FB friend adding is normal and nothing too special. If he is REALLY interested in becoming friends with me, he will say at least 2 sentences to me on FB. So I wrote on his wall saying hi and all.. and the next day, I found out that he wrote THREE sentences ! I was like whoahhh hahahaha. So I was pretty happy right~ Yesterday I was doing my assignment and I was logged on FB. Suddenly he said hi to me on chat! And we actually started talking a lot ! Except he was stressed out... and I was trying to give advice for him and he wanted some depressing songs from me :S hahahahaha. In the midst of our conversation, he wrote - "you are very pretty by the way". And at that moment, I was like OHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY GOOOODNESSS!!!!!!!!!!! And I started screaming inside my head hahahahahahahahahhahaha!! :D I was really happy and I still am :P And oh my goodness, I am going to meet him again in another 30 minutes !!! LOL.  This is the 3rd time a guy (who isn't a boyfriend) has told me that I was pretty ! :O :O I freak out every time too. Haha! I remember last time my Korean guy friend said - "You know you look amazingly beautiful" :O and wayyy back in year 10, a Chinese guy said - "You know, you will look more beautiful if you lost a little bit of weight" (Zzzz... I know... Can't believe he said that so bluntly. lol.) But anyways, TO ALL THE GUYS OUT THERE - Make a girl's day better by giving her a compliment to make her happy - AND MEAN IT !! :)

Anyways, there have been much more positive things that have happened this week, which made me realise, The more closer we are to God, the more blessings we will receive in our daily lives ♥(◦ˆ⌣ˆ◦)♥ Further more, I have learned to appreciate even the smallest things more than I have in the past... So in summation, life becomes more beautiful with Him!

That's all for now !

Talk to you soon xx

When I Miss You - BEAST

Hi~ This song is so lovely and has to be my favourite song from their mini album (MIDNIGHT SUN)! Yes I know a few weeks ago I said that Midnight was my favourite song... But now after hearing this... Man, it's so nice. Makes me want to cry although I'm not in the situation. Hahaha. Check it out KPOP lovers / BEAUTIES :)

English Translation:

I coincidentally heard news about you, are you doing well?
I think I’m doing well
It’s a relief, I seem happy
I thought I’d still be struggling
Feeling a bit lonely (feeling depressed)
I kept wandering through past memories
The deeper the night grew
I needlessly got a bit sad
When I miss you (so good bye, good bye)
When I long for you even more
I blankly lay there, blankly lay there
Eventually, not going to sleep
Even when I miss you (so good bye, good bye)
Even when I think of you more
I am alright, I am alright, I am alright
If only you are happy
It feels like I am floating in the air
It’s a problem that doesn’t necessarily need a conclusion
If it awakens like last night’s dream, it all scatters
If I try to approach you, you keep getting farther, why do you keep getting farther
When I was with you, before I let you go
I loved you with all my strength
So I have no regrets
I thought the person for you was me
But I guess it’s not
When I miss you (so good bye, good bye)
When I long for you even more
I blankly lay there, blankly lay there
Eventually, not going to sleep
Even when I miss you (so good bye, good bye)
Even when I think of you more
I am alright, I am alright, I am alright
If only you are happy
The road I took to take you home, the coffee we drank together
The book we read together, the drama we watched together
I long for all these things so much
The road I took to take you home, the coffee we drank together
The book we read together, the drama we watched together
I long for all these things so much
Even when I miss you (so good bye, good bye)
Even when I think of you more
I am alright, I am alright, I am alright
If only you are happy

Weekend update

Hi Hi! Well I am sooo relieved that the week is over already. I just wanted to forget about all the assignments I had. But now I have more assignments due next week. Zzz. I have 2 assignments due PER WEEK for Reshaping Environments.

Yesterday I attended the SLIMS (Student life international movement) Christian group club meeting for the first time and it was awesome. There were so many new people I met and all asian, except for the mentor :p

We played games, heard an inspiring testimony, formed groups and discussed about God together. Unfortunately I missed out on the discussion about the passage from the bible because I had to go home :( So sad..

On the good note, there was a guy, whom I shall call J1 and he was good-looking and funny. Hahaha..... :D Anywho, university life is filled with many surprises and you just need to balance out your life between family , social and studies. When you feel stressed out, you should reward yourself by being social to either your family or friends. Locking yourself inside the room the whole week can be stressful and to be honest (I have done this before), I was actually less productive! So that's why I rewarded myself to attend SLIMS so that I could clear my head away from the stressful assignments I've been getting. Haha.

Anyways, talk more soon. xx

Tired of M1 & M2

Hi everyone, sorry for the super late blogging. This week has been the most hectic week in my uni life ever (apart from intense exam periods haha). I have freaking assignments every week because of this one subject called - Reshaping Environments! Hoih. Anyway, I have a few things to express, and that's why I came on here to blog about it~

Firstly, I am noticing changes in my friendships. I am getting tired of M1 and M2 for different reasons. M1 happens to be an agnostic. He was sort of interested to find out why people become Christians and so forth. The problem is, whenever I tell him about God, he is always critizing every thing that I say. It gets really frustrating because you know, people out there always want evidence to back up the claim that God exists, and when they do get evidence, they reject to believe it's real. Like then, what evidence do you want? And to M1, it is realllllyyy frustrating that you criticise everything and doubt everything! You say that you dont believe we need to worship a higher being just to do good. Well guess what? All good things come from HIM. I am so tired that you know... So tired of talking to you that I am going to let you go. It pains me whenever you tell me all these depressing stories happening in your life.. and I know the answer to all of your problems.. The answer is JESUS. But you're so stubborn.. You say you are "open" but it appears to be otherwise. I guess you will only find out the truth after your life on earth. - - Apart from these, I am just getting tired because he talks to me in a robotic way on Skype... And I feel like I'm having to look after him all the time...

M2 is tiring me as well. Since we dont talk a lot all the time I am drifting apart from him. And today, I realised that he speaks in a mean/harsh tone on Facebook to make it seem like he isn't interested in me. But on skype and sms, he's all lovey dove and all this poop. I decided to put him under my restricted list on facebook so that he cant see my profile and statuses. I feel like I need a break. From both of them. So from today onwards, I wont talk to them first... I never get a good response anyway from either of them.

What is wrong with me? Seriously. I think it's a combination between tiredness from university, mixed with my sickness of flu and incoming moodswings from lack of sleep. Oh well. At least I still have my high school friends and new friends at uni.

Bye x

Quick update

Hi! I don't have much time to update because I have been swamped with A LOT of assignments. Seriously just KMN. But anyway other than work, I have realised that the guy friends I am friends with now.... are all left-handers..... Is this a sign or something.... Hahahahha.

Drifting apart.

Hey~ I just came back from Tiberias Church in Melbourne.... Yup it took up half the day plus we went out for lunch so we only arrived back home an hour ago haha. So tired but I have a group project to complete :( Not looking forward to the 2000-3000 word report! Seriously semester 2 is making me so tired everyday! And it's only the start of week 4. I'm not saying that it's tougher than semester 1, but there's just more work because I am doing environmental subjects which consists of never-ending lists of weekly journals, essays, assignments and orals to be done. T.T

On another note, M2 and I are drifting apart. I sort of feel low whenever my mind isn't occupied by anything else and he randomly pops up into my head. Haha. Well, I guess I expected this... And he did warn me long time ago that if he becomes bored of me, he will start ignoring me.. (what the). I know university is the number one priority, but it doesn't hurt to reply, "I'm busy" . Instead, he logs into whatsapp, sees my message, ignores it then logs off. It hurts to be ignored and I am a super sensitive person which doesn't make situations any better. Oh well, this is the beginning of a new semester and I can't dwell in the past any longer. He came and now he's slowly going away. But you know what? I have to accept it all. Life is like this! People come and go in life and it is all part of God's plan. If someone has left you in life, it means that they are of no use to you any longer and God wants you to move on to someone better because he has planned something greater for you

So in summation, I will miss our moments we shared with each other last semester, but I have to let you go and trust that God has planned someone better for me. Amennnn! :)

Inspiring story.

PASTORS YESAYA & DARNIATY PARIADJI

Pastor Yesaya Pariadji

Pastor Yesaya Pariadji was a non-Christian and a very successful man in his career – in the government and business. He has experienced first hand, the amazing grace of God in his own life.

In 1985, he had a supernatural encounter with the Lord Jesus, where the Lord invited him to the Kingdom of Heaven and told him to read the Bible. At first he refused then started to read the Bible when he was sick and paralyzed. After that, he was miraculously healed.

He received a special commission from the Lord Jesus to found a supernatural and glorious church called Tiberias, as in the early church, where people are getting healed and lives are being transformed. To preach and teach on the power and significance of the Holy Communion and the Anointing Oil.

In his full-time ministry, many people have experienced miraculous healings of diseases and weaknesses, restoration of economic recession, families, marriages, relationships, and lives transformation. Including countless testimonies of people who have experienced the grace of God and received Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Pastor Darniaty Pariadj

Pastor Darniaty Pariadji was a non-Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior after receiving a miraculous healing from paralysis in 1984. The Lord revealed Himself to her husband, Pastor Yesaya Pariadji, in 1985. In the year 1986, she started a small group for Bible study, which was the starting point of Tiberias. She is a constant source of love and support to Pastor Pariadji. Her warmth and her love for the Father God and people have touched many lives. They are blessed with four children and four grandchildren.

- I don't know whether you readers believe that God exists or not. But let me reassure you, GOD really does exist but you just have to BELIEVE and try harder searching for Him!

"We walk by faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:7

For those ATHEISTS who disrespect His name and the Holy Spirit, will not see miracles because the Lord is HOLY. He cannot be taken for granted! How sad are those who disrespect Him. They do not know what they are saying.

"They (the Pharisees/ nowadays it's atheists!) wanted to trap him, so they asked him to perform a miracle... But Jesus said, " Why do the people of this day ask for a miracle? No, I tell you! No such proof will be given to these people!" - Mark 8:11-12

Pastor Pariadji is a living evidence because if not for the power of Jesus, how can hundreds of people get healed from incurable sicknesses everyday? Is it just random chance? Surely not ! Miracles are being done every day to those who turn to Him! Hallelujah! :D

Turn away from your sins and start going to the Lord today for His arms are always open for all His children in this world (including YOU!). Tell Him all your worries and concerns... and put YOUR FAITH IN HIM! For nothing is impossible for Lord Jesus. He is the creator of Heaven and Earth and His love for US is ever lasting. Surely as His child, we must love Him in return and serve him with all our hearts and souls. Seek the Lord before He comes the second time, to judge the living and the dead~ It's not too late before then, to repent and follow His path so that we may all go to heaven and live in eternal happiness with the Lord and everyone else who loves Him!!

"And you, too, must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you are not expecting him." - Luke 12:40

Universe, New Tutorial, New Hotties P.2

Just continuing on from yesterday's post~ After hanging out with much older students than myself, I realised how much better it would be if I had a boyfriend as mature as them. Other than Frankie, I haven't found another guy who is mature in my eyes. But hanging out with the students from Universe has definitely opened my eyes! Haha. It just feels so nice being driven around~ and being taken care of by someone older... someone who can guide you through life~ So I'm not in a rush to find a boyfie~ God will find me the perfect guy for me. (Amennnnn!)

On Monday I went to my Reshaping Environments tutorial, only to find that my male friend had moved to another class. I was so disappointed because initially I wanted to move classes because of my tutor, (She was the most unfriendliest person ever! She did not smile, she was condescending, arrogant and extremely unhelpful and judgemental.) but because I didn't want to leave him alone, I stayed in that class for him. But turned out that he was the one to betray his new friend first. :( Also, my class was filled with people who leave you out. Like, they knew each other from last semester, so they ignored my presence when I was in their group and whenever I tried to talk, they would talk over me. The class also had dominant students so obviously my tutor already favours them more than anyone else. So at that point, I just realised that I wasn't going to get anything beneficial from that 2-hour class - The only thing I got out of it was that I will be left depressed every week because I had no friend and not a good tutor. So then I moved.

On Friday, I attended my new class. I saw a girl (Her name is Annie) waiting outside and I sat next to her. I decided to say hello to her and ask her whether it was the correct classroom. That was when she asked for my name and we became friends from there :) She told me that the tutor was kind and she was right! In fact, my new classmates are ALL very friendly and the class discussions are equally weighed out (meaning EVERYONE gets a chance to say something!), and everyone was humorous so the class wasn't tense at all! I am soooo glad that I have moved! And thank you to God because I prayed beforehand so that I will get classmates who will get along well with me and He granted my prayer :) Yay~ God is awesome~

Plus guess what! My new class has more guys than girls. And may I say, there are HEAPS of eye candys!!!! XD And my new leading-the-class-discussions-partner is a guy (who volunteered without complaining to drop out of his original group to be my partner) and he seems very nice so I am thankful for that. Also, we got into small groups to discuss ideas about the readings we had, and I was with Annie and another guy. We talked until we ran out of ideas... and suddenly he was so polite to say, "By the way, my name is Jinwoo :) What's your name?" And that's when we became friends :) He is really cute and kind and his stomach rumbled in class hahahahaha so we all laughed at him and Annie was offering me some snacks (because everyone was hungry!) and I said, "No thanks~ But I think you should give some to Jinwoo :P" and we all laughed. Hehe. So I am really glad once again that I have moved classes!

For all you students out there, if you are in the same situation as I was before, where you feel extremely uncomfortable with your group-mates, then why not speak up and take action? Change classes before it's too late. Because I have definitely learnt that the atmosphere of a classroom will absolutely influence your attitude for that subject! Beforehand, I really hated Reshaping Environments because I had no friends but now I am starting to enjoy it! :) Cheers. xx

Difference between Catholics and Protestants

So many people get confused about the difference between Catholics and Protestants (Christians). Some people say Christians and Catholics are the same thing, but this is a big misconception that should be cleared up.  I found a website that deals with this issue in a very accurate and chronological manner! The writer's statements are always backed up with verses/chapters (evidence) from the bible. Remember, the bible is 100% true so we (as believers of God) cannot argue with it. So for anyone interested, read on and read the bits that you are curious about! :)

INTRODUCTION: Christians in the Bible are called people that love the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10). If a person loves the truth they must hate lies, errors and all distortions of the truth. However, just as God hates sin, but loves all people even though they sin, Christians should likewise love all people even if they do, teach or believe something that is not right or true. So Catholics and Protestant should love one another, even if they do not agree with or do not like what the other does or believes.
SUMMARY: Catholics and Protestants believe and do many of the same things, but they also believe and do some things differently. Some differences are trivial, but some differences deal with the foundational issues.
HISTORY: The Catholic Church has a long history over which time it has changed in many ways, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.
Protestant Christianity began in the 1500's when a group of people began to protest against some of the wrong things they believed the Catholic Church was doing and teaching. These protesters became separated from the Catholic Church and formed their own Church which was more inline with what they believed was the truth. Just like the Catholic Church, Protestant Churches are not perfect, they have also changed many times in many ways.
The main issue is Catholics have believed and done some things differently to what Protestants believe the Bible has instructed. Protestants believe this is a result of Catholics believing what certain individuals and traditions have said, rather than what God has said through the Bible. The problem of traditions becoming more important than God's truth is something all religions have at some time been guilty of, including Protestants. The Catholic Church has admitted to some of the errors it has been guilty of in the past, and has changed. But there are still some beliefs and practices that Protestants would say are against what the Bible teaches.
An example of change in the Catholic church is, the fact that today, the Catholic Church does encourage Bible reading. But in the past the Catholic church has discouraged personal study of the Bible, in fact reading the Bible was at one time banned by the Church. Only certain people were allowed to do so. People that did read, or spread the Bible, were even killed by the Catholic Church, like William Tyndale who was one of the first people to translate the Bible into English.
The Catholic Bibles include certain books which Protestants say should not be there. They are called the apocryphal books, which are writings protestants do not believe have been approved as inspired by God. Since they are not referred to as Scripture by Jesus or His disciples.
At one time almost all Catholic Church services were entirely in the Latin language, and only a few people could understand Latin. This is no longer case.
THE VIRGIN MARY: Mary the physical mother of Jesus is of great importance to Catholics, but the Bible says very little about Mary. Here is a summary of what the Bible says about her:
The Bible describes Mary as the physical mother of Jesus, and that she was made pregnant by God. (Matthew 1:16, Luke 1:26-42, Luke 2:5-19) Mary visited her cousin Elisabeth (Luke 1:39-56) Mary attended a feast at Jerusalem with her family. (Luke 2:48-51) Mary is present at a marriage feast. (John 2:1-10) Mary looked for Jesus when He was teaching inside a house (Matthew 12:46-47, Mark 3:31, Luke 8:19). Mary went to see Jesus at the cross (John 19:25-27). Mary was committed to the care of Jesus' disciple John. (John 19:27) Mary lived with the disciples in Jerusalem for a while (Acts 1:14).
So everything Catholics say about Mary that is not in the Bible has been made up by people, and are based on tradition rather than the truth revealed to us God's Word. Nowhere does the Bible say Mary was greater than any other Christian, she was just a human like all of us. The Bible does not say people should worship Mary or pray to Mary. The Bible does not say Mary prays for us.
Some Catholics may believe and teach that Mary acts as a mediator between people and God, but this is the opposite to the Bible which says, Jesus is only mediator between God and mankind. (1 Timothy 2:5)
A mediator is somebody that negotiates a solution between two people that are divided because of some problem.
Praying to Mary, singing to Mary, and bowing down or kissing statues of Mary, might even be classed as a form of Idol worship, which Jesus said was wrong. For He said we must worship and serve God alone (Matthew 4:10). And Mary was a person.
Mary is not the gate of heaven as some Catholics say, for Jesus Himself said that He is the way and nobody comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). And the Bible also says, there is no other name except that of Jesus by which we are saved (Acts 4:12).
A popular belief among Catholics is that Mary never did any sin, but the Bible says everyone has sinned (Romans 5:12-13, 1 Kings 8:46, 1 John 1:8-10, Psalm 53:3). Mary even admitted she needed a Saviour for she called God her Saviour (Luke 1:46-47). Jesus is the only person who has not sinned, and Jesus was God.
Some Catholics believe Mary never had any other children. But the Bible says Mary did have other children (Matthew 13:55-56).
Some Catholics often call Mary the mother of God, but God does not have a mother, for God and Jesus already existed before Mary existed (Isaiah 43:10). Mary was not God's mother, but simply a channel through which Jesus entered this physical world.
THE POPE: The Pope is a man Catholics have claimed is a mediator between God and mankind. But as it has been said Jesus is the only mediator between God and mankind (1 Timothy 2:5). Catholics also claim the Pope is the head of the Church on earth, but the Bible says Jesus is the head of the Church (Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22, Colossians 2:9-10). We should not give to any man the honour that belongs to Jesus alone.
CONFESSION: It is often believed among Catholics that a certain group of people called priests, have the power and authority to forgive sins. So sins must be confessed to priests. But such beliefs are the opposite of what is found in the Bible, which says Jesus has the power to forgive sins (Matthew 9:6). Also, no human priest is a mediator between God and man. The Bible also teaches we can ask God ourselves for forgiveness, and He promises to forgive us and cleanse us (1 John 1:9). Peter also said in the Bible, that through Jesus name, whoever believes in Him will receive forgiveness of their sins (Acts 10:43). The Bible does not teach that today there should be a special class of people called priests, for God sees all Christians as priests (1 Peter 2:9).
PENANCE: Catholics generally believe sin causes spiritual penalties, and not all of these penalties are removed even if the guilt of a sin has been forgiven. They believe these remaining penalties can be removed or reduced by penance, which involves doing good works. What these good works are is decided by the priest after a confession. According to Catholic beliefs any remaining penalties will be paid by suffering in a place called purgatory after death.
However the Bible does not say anything about penance, God does not demand such things for the forgiveness of sins. God's forgiveness is a free gift we receive by turning away from our wrong ways and accepting it through believing in Jesus as our Lord (Galatians 2:16, Romans 1:17). According to the Bible good works do not make a person a Christian, but good works should be the sign of a person who is a Christian. Good works are the result of becoming a Christian. And we become a Christian by turning away from sin and turning our lives over to Jesus.
PURGATORY: Purgatory is a place Catholics believe they will go if they die with unpaid penalties, there they will pay for their penalties by suffering. This imaginary place keeps many Catholics in fear all their life, because they can never be sure of how long they will spend there. A fear of purgatory causes many Catholics to miss out on the joy and peace that comes from knowing Jesus has paid the full price for sin. Catholics often teach that time spent in purgatory can be reduced by gifts of money, the prayers of priests, and by doing other things. Through such teachings the Catholic Church has collected billions of dollars, making it one of the richest institutions in the world.
However nothing about purgatory can be found in the Bible. Jesus said in the Bible, that He who hears His word and believes in Him who sent Him, has everlasting life, and will not be judged, but has passed from death to life (John 5:24). The Bible also says God does not remember sins that have been forgiven (Hebrews 10:17). The Bible also says that once Christians die they will be present with God (2 Corinthians 5:8-9), there is no place in between.
INDULGENCES: Catholics also teach that the unpaid penalties can cause individuals to be punished in this life also, in various forms of sufferings, and what remains unpaid by suffering on earth will be paid in purgatory. Catholics also believe these penalties can be reduced with what Catholics call indulgences, which involve doing good works, saying certain prayers, going to confession, going to communion, or doing something else. Catholics also believe indulgences can be gained for people that have died and gone to the imaginary place called purgatory.
The whole concept of Indulgences goes against the Bible, which teaches that God's Gift of life is free, for the whole punishment for all sin has been paid for by Jesus once and for all (Hebrews 10:10).
NEVER SURE OF BEING SAVED: Because of beliefs about purgatory, No Catholic person is sure they will go to Heaven when they die, they might go to purgatory. But the Bible says if we walk in the light, as Jesus is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of God's Son Jesus cleanses us of all our sin (1 John 1:7). So Jesus cleanses us of ALL our sin.
MARRIAGE: Catholic beliefs do not allow certain men to have a wife because they are leaders in the Church. However in the Bible we read Christian leaders were married, such as the Apostle Peter (Matthew 8:14, Mark 1:30, Luke 4:38) Paul who was a Christian leader and wrote most of the New Testament also allowed marriage (1 Corinthians 9:5). The Bible even makes it clear that it is wrong to forbid marriage (1 Timothy 4:3).
PRAYER: Catholics often repeatedly say the same prayer over and over again. But this is a practice that the Bible says is wrong. For even Jesus told His followers to not vainly repeat themselves in prayer, like some do thinking they will be heard because of their many words. Jesus went on to say, we are not to be like them, for our heavenly Father knows what we need, before we ask him (Matthew 6:7-8).
RITUALS: A common Catholic tradition involves the kissing and bowing down to images and statues of Mary, Jesus, dead people and angels. The Bible says that is wrong, and such objects should not even be made (Exodus 20:4-5). Jesus told us to worship God in Spirit and truth (John 4:23-24). There are many other Catholic practices and beliefs that can't be found in the Bible, such as saying prayers for the dead. Generally Church services involve intricate rituals and ceremonies that are not found in the Bible, but have been invented by people. God has said in the Bible He is more interested in what is in peoples heart than rituals and ceremonies.
CONCLUSION: As a Protestant, I believe the Catholic belief system has complicated the simple Gospel message. I protest any religion that teaches that to receive spiritual salvation involves a lot of hard work. I believe we have eternal life when we put our faith in Jesus, as the Scripture says: "He that believes on the Son has everlasting life" (John 3:36)
The Bible warns against those that seek to complicate and corrupt God's simple plan of salvation (2 Corinthians 11:3). The simple truth is God's gift of life has been fully paid by Jesus on the cross. We can receive it in this life by turning from our wrong ways and accepting Jesus as our Lord, it is not something we can get by doing good works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
So if you want to get right with God, you have to go to Jesus directly, not any Church, religious organization or human individual. Jesus said, come to me all you that labour and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). We are not saved by belonging to a Church either Catholic or Protestant. There are only one kind of Christian, those that have made Jesus Lord of their life, and the simplest definition of a "true" Church is any group of people that is united by a shared love of Jesus Christ.

Universe, New tutorial, New hotties P.1

Good evening ! :) First of all I would like to shout out - I'M SO SORRY ASHLEY!! (For thinking that you were Ellena, since you were commenting as an anon!) Hahahahahahaha! Ahh geez, that was so embarrassing when you told me... You two write in very similar style... Actually, initially there was something inside me telling me that it wasn't Ellena. I just had a feeling that it wasn't her who wrote the comment but because Ellena asked for my blog yesterday when we met up, I just assumed it was her without analysing your writing style more carefully :p hehe I'm sowwyy!

I realised that I haven't updated you guys about many things happening in my uni life! All this time I have been focusing on M2 until I haven't even written anything about my life outside of M2 LOL. Sorry! Geez. Well since he is in medicine and nowadays he is really busy so he just ignores me (lol) I won't have that much stories to tell about him for now.

SO ! Last week, my friend Michael and I joined a Christian club called, "Universe". Actually, I am already part of Student Life (another Christian group) but we joined because his friend Nick was part of Universe so we wanted to check it out. It turned out to such a lovely group! I met so many great people who were so friendly coming up to me and welcoming both of us! We just chatted for an hour or so and that's where I met Paul (who is apparently doing his MASTERS! He is even a tutor of psychology at melb uni!) so that made me realise how YOUNG I am.. Hahaha. We spoke for a long time and he is so funny! He sort of reminds me of Daniel Park... Like the way he talks.. Haha. Then I met Kal (who is one of the student leaders), Rachel (singing leader), Maria and many more. After we worshiped and talked about God, prayer and fasting, they needed a few people to help clean up. Since I had a 4 hour break, I decided to help and have a chance to know them more. So anyway, that's how I got to know Paul, Kal, Maria and Nick more~ After putting everything away in Kal's car, they all wanted to have lunch and so they invited me. We squished up in his car.... and I was in the middle... (very awkward indeed meeting for the first time LOL) in between Nick and Paul... It was so squishy until we couldnt even find the seatbelts hahahahah. Anyways we ended up eating at a fancy cafe/restaurant on Lygon ~ and that's where I got to know them . Both Maria and Cal are in their 3rd year doing Commerce and Nick is 1st year doing Science Engineering. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all being with them because they were so accepting, friendly, kind and love God as much as I do! In fact, I felt like I was accepted as part of their family  :)

ANYWAY I was asked to distribute this flyer so I might as well advertise it on here as well. If any of you are interested to question ANYTHING about God and the Bible, then come along to Melb Uni! It runs for the whole of next week - So come along with your friends to have your questions answered by experts!!

Jay Park

Singer Jay Park is coming to Australia ! :D My whole FB homepage is filled with girls screaming and being excited about going to his concert and here I am... getting excited at his picture because I don't have a ticket :( But may I add... His body is hot. HAHAHAHA :D

But if BEAST ever comes to Melbourne OR Big Bang, then no excuses, I will beg my parents to let me go because THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE KPOP BAND EVER! And I can't miss that opportunity huhuhu.  T__T

No longer interested.

Hahahhaha okay this is sooo me! LOL. Anyways, today was a rather social day! I had no lectures at all because of train issues (gah vline!) and so I met up with Danial and we had lunch at the little cafe near Alice Hoy~ The one where there are Chinese workers. They are quite odd actually. The lady seems SO friendly when you enter but she becomes plain when you respond. Hahaha. She's always like, "HI HOW ARE YOU?" Then when you say, "Good thanks! How are you? :)" She responds like, "Good. Now what would you like." - TAKE NOTE OF THE FULL STOP I PUT AT THE END OF 'GOOD'. Hahahaha. So yeah she doesn't smile after you respond :\ So odd haha. Then Danial and I went to MC to meet up with the lovely Ellena, Tambiye and Fauzan. We didn't end up meeting until 2.00 but it was nice catching up with them all when we were all together :) And my friend Ellena has absolutely FLAWLESS skin! :O I was like wow.. Hahaha. Wish I had skin like hers!

Moving on, M2 finally gave in and he gave me the secret admirer's skype and let me tell you something. This guy is the strangest guy ever. You would think he would want to talk to me and get to know me right? Well... No, that's not how he works. I left him a message, "Hi :) Are you really M2's friend?" . Then he didn't reply for a long time although he was online. (Behind my back, he was actually pissed at M2 for giving me his Skype! And he told M2 that he wasn't going to reply me! Like what theeeeeee.) But eventually he did reply me and wrote, "Yes I am... So you're Merry is it?" . Inside my head I was like... Uh..... It clearly says "Merry Sari" as my skype name. Lol. Then I wrote, "Yes~ So you do biology like me ?" And he clearly saw it because skype says he received it but he hasn't answered me in like 2 days. Like wtf does he want? So right now, I am soooo over him. I dont understand his logic and his reasons for treating me like this. M2 did tell me that he is shy, but why would he then plan to ignore me as a consequence?? Isn't it his chance to say hi and become friends with me?? This has been going on since Week 1 of uni where M2 keeps telling me that "It's not the right time for him" and he told M2 that, "The pace is too fast." Like what the.... It's not like I want him to ask me out on a date or something huge like that! I only wanted him to show himself and get to know him! So anyway, just now I told M2 that I am no longer interested in his friend lol. I even plan to delete him off skype and my mind if he doesn't reply soon.

To the boy who finds me attractive but refuses to talk to me :
Please look at the image above.

To my dear readers:
Is this guy worth keeping or should I remove him now?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

GiKwang and the cute female baby turtle

Lee GiKwang (member from BEAST!) and this adorable looking turtle! I can't even... URGH. TOO MUCH CUTENESS FOR ME TO HANDLE! Hahahahahhahaha.

If I were in that cute baby costume of a turtle, I would have done the same thing - getting up close and personal to GiKwang and stealing a kiss from him on the cheek. Hehehe.

New shoes

HI ALL! Today my family and I went to Tiberias Melbourne to go to church~ And they asked me whether I would like to join to be a singing leader in front of everyone! and I was like :O WHAT. Hahahahahha.. I don't even know how to sing most of their songs because they are all new for me! Hahaha....... Afterwards, we had lunch in the city thennnnn went to Broadmeadows and I bought these new shoes (actually they are greyish coloured but my editing made it look green.... anyway! :D I have always wanted them for a long time now and today the whole mall happened to have massive sales! So I was able to buy these and a few pretty tops!! Thank you God for this blessing!! ^^

Ok tomorrow I have a plan! Since M2 told me that S.A (Secret admirer) sits at the back, tomorrow, I will sit near the backish and scan the room for anyone stealing glances at me!! Mwahahaha! I just love being an investigator :p It totally makes me miss high school moments when my friends investigated guys for me and I would investigate guys with Ash. :') Can't believe I am already half way of first year of uni! I mean like... that means it is really close of becoming a SECOND YEAR STUDENT! :O Freaky... Anywho... Wish me luck in finding out who this guy is! :D

Anger towards a friend!! >:(

Why am I like this? WHY DO I FEEL ANGER JUST BECAUSE HE HASNT TEXT ME ALL DAY?!?!?! GAH. Why do I have to be so emotional when it comes to these things. *Bangs head*. I should not care. I should NOT CARE when he comes online on whatsapp, reads my message, then ignores it and goes back offline. NO, I SHOULD NOT CARE AT ALL. But WHY DO I CARE NOW???? URGH. This is so frustrating and I have no one to tell so I am shouting at my blog to relieve my stress and share my feelings with. Huhuhuhu.. T_T

Fashion for lost people like myself

Looking for inspiration on clothing?
Well I found a great tumblr site that shows fashion for girls and guys Asian style ! :D Mwahahaha.

Geez. I'm still learning fashion myself :3

7222 Blog views!

Oh my goodness ! Wow , that is a huge number :D Thanks to all my readers !! Love you all !!  `ʃƪ)

Ciphering a word.

Good morning~ I woke up just now wondering where my brother had gone at 6.00 in the morning only to discover that my whole family was in the living room watching the opening of the Olympics.. Hahahha. Anyway, they invited Rowan Atkinson along and he was just hilarious just now because he was acting as Mr Bean. Hehe. Sooo, I still haven't discovered who the secret admirer is. Max is still very resistant to tell me more about him but he gave me a code to solve to find out his name and the code word is "kitty". Does anyone know how to play the game called CIPHER? This is the code I have to solve: Knpeh Bmmdq - and if anyone solves it, I would appreciate it very much! :( Max keeps on telling me that the guy is too shy to talk to me but when he gets the chance, he will. "Let destiny and time do their job" is what M2 keeps telling me. *Sigh*. Oh well, since Max doesn't want to talk about him all the time, I'll drop the subject now in front of him Huhu. Although I said - Okay I won't care about him anymore~ And I won't talk to you about him~ And he was like, Okay suit yourself. But that won't happen for him. (Meaning he will keep talking about me to Max... Hoih).

Uni Update!

Hi ! Wow okay I only have very little time to write a quick post because I really need to study after this ! :O So much things to catch up on although it is only the 4th day of university!

Since I don't have much time to waste, here's just some interesting points that have happened in my uni life so far:

  • Became friends with a guy from my Reshaping Environments tutorial named Victor. I was thinking to myself, I am gonna be here for 12 weeks x 2hours per tutorial. I might as well try and become friends with someone to avoid future awkwardness. So then I was like, "HI. What's your name?" Hahahahahahahha. Yep, that's how I roll. LOL. He was a humorous guy so we got along pretty well. Too bad I accidentally skipped breakfast and my stomach kept rumbling REALLY loudly that he was like laughing at me when I told him ! (since I couldn't deny it was me... since I was sitting pretty close to him and yeahhhhh) . Hahahahah way to set a first impression Merry! But anyway, he didn't mind and he still talked to me after class so it was all good :D Hahahaha.
  • Found out my biology prac group table isn't as good as last semesters :( Everyone is local and no Asians... Only me... and they are all on their little world. There was this girl who took all the attention.. *sigh*
  • Became friends with Danial again!
  • Went into my Reshaping Environments Lecture and sat next to this guy. Introduced myself. His name was Joseph. Turned out to be pretty good-looking and some how mature. Found out he did national service for Malaysia and eventually discovered that he was 5 years older than I am! :O Even so, it felt attractive being friends with someone much mature than I am . (*hint hint* preparation for the future hehehe).
  • Made another envi friend named Tara who kept talking when the lecturer was talking! But I felt rude if I told her to sush... And even though I was like "Yeah... Oh yeah... Yeah yeah... While looking at the lecturer" She didn't understand that I was indirectly trying to tell her that I wanted to listen to the lecturer! Haha.
  • M2 confessed that he likes me a little bit. (Can totally sense him trying to cover it up / make situation a little lighter by adding "Little bit".)
  • I tried to convince M1 that sister and brother relationships DO work.
  • Made a random new friend near a public cafe. I was like - "Hey! Were you the girl I saw before at my biology prac class?" Now we see each other at the train station so I think we can be friends :) Her name is Sophia.
  • Sophia gave me her number. I texted her on the train. Found out she accidentally gave me the wrong number. I ended up text some random who lives in Queensland! SUPER AWKWARD.
  • Found out that I have a secret admirer! Who apparently has seen me around biology lectures and he was envious of my relationship with M2 because we are close. (And this guy has been friends with M2 since high school). Apparently he was like, "You're friends with Merry?? Omg I'm so envious of you! She is SO cute! And she seems very affable! And likes to laugh a lot." - My reaction: HAHAHAHAHHAHA OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I know what first impressions I give to other people and that is - "She laughs a lot." GREATTTTTT hahahahahahah. It's not my fauuuuuult! XD
  • Now I am in the process of trying to find out who this secret admirer is.
  • M2 is being difficult by not telling me who it is :( huhuhu.
So there we go, there's all the interesting stuff that has happened so far! Not in great detail but good enough!  (•̪ -̮ •̪)

Student Life

Hello~ Well yesterday I officially joined a christian club on campus called "Student Life". I initially joined because I was inspired by a friend who is one of the leaders of SL, from my Indonesian class. Her name is Bec and she loves God soooo much. I was really touched to hear all her stories that were always related to Lord Jesus. Anyway, yesterday I was part of the Student Life International Movement (SLIM) and we did outreach, which is, going out to people and telling them to join our club. I was pretty nervous at first because I was like.. I am new myself... How am I supposed to convince people that they should join? Lol.. but anyway, as soon as I started to get people to do my surveys, I started gaining confidence and apparently (according to the senior leaders) I was on a roll! Hahahahhahahaha. Well I did try my best. I smiled and laughed as usual and got a few people who were interested to join! Horray! Hahahah. A funny story was that, I was surveying a guy from Indo so I got excited, and before that, I was surveying ALL girls, and so when it was time for me to circle the gender, I accidentally circled "Female" and he was like - OOOOOOHHH!!!!! NONONONONO! and I was like.. OMG!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA IM SO SORRY!!!! HAHAHAHAHA! . Then we started laughing and I was so embarrassed hahahaha. Oh well :p keke. Overall I got to meet nice people such as Rebecca (another Rebecca), Lynn, Shaun, Chris.. Harvey and Dan.

Then me and Danial went to RMIT Mainstream (which is mixture but more locals). I was more nervous here but 2 girls came up to me (Named Bella and Rebecca [ANOTHER Rebecca again! lol]) and they were suuuuper friendly and introduced themselves to be Bec's friend! (the night before, Bec told me that she told her friend Bella to look out for me! She's so nice~) And they really did look out for me. They told me their stories about how they became Christians and it was so nice to hear that Jesus called them :D So anyway, it was a nice day overall, although it was cold and freezing and I got a headache :l but anyway... Hahahha. Toodles!

Feeling nostalgic

Hi all :) I've been studying and I thought I would take a break from it. I was browsing on my Facebook history and I became very nostal...
