Just continuing on from yesterday's post~ After hanging out with much older students than myself, I realised how much better it would be if I had a boyfriend as mature as them. Other than Frankie, I haven't found another guy who is mature in my eyes. But hanging out with the students from Universe has definitely opened my eyes! Haha. It just feels so nice being driven around~ and being taken care of by someone older... someone who can guide you through life~ So I'm not in a rush to find a boyfie~ God will find me the perfect guy for me. (Amennnnn!)
On Monday I went to my Reshaping Environments tutorial, only to find that my male friend had moved to another class. I was so disappointed because initially I wanted to move classes because of my tutor, (She was the most unfriendliest person ever! She did not smile, she was condescending, arrogant and extremely unhelpful and judgemental.) but because I didn't want to leave him alone, I stayed in that class for him. But turned out that he was the one to betray his new friend first. :( Also, my class was filled with people who leave you out. Like, they knew each other from last semester, so they ignored my presence when I was in their group and whenever I tried to talk, they would talk over me. The class also had dominant students so obviously my tutor already favours them more than anyone else. So at that point, I just realised that I wasn't going to get anything beneficial from that 2-hour class - The only thing I got out of it was that I will be left depressed every week because I had no friend and not a good tutor. So then I moved.
On Friday, I attended my new class. I saw a girl (Her name is Annie) waiting outside and I sat next to her. I decided to say hello to her and ask her whether it was the correct classroom. That was when she asked for my name and we became friends from there :) She told me that the tutor was kind and she was right! In fact, my new classmates are ALL very friendly and the class discussions are equally weighed out (meaning EVERYONE gets a chance to say something!), and everyone was humorous so the class wasn't tense at all! I am soooo glad that I have moved! And thank you to God because I prayed beforehand so that I will get classmates who will get along well with me and He granted my prayer :) Yay~ God is awesome~
Plus guess what! My new class has more guys than girls. And may I say, there are HEAPS of eye candys!!!! XD And my new leading-the-class-discussions-partner is a guy (who volunteered without complaining to drop out of his original group to be my partner) and he seems very nice so I am thankful for that. Also, we got into small groups to discuss ideas about the readings we had, and I was with Annie and another guy. We talked until we ran out of ideas... and suddenly he was so polite to say, "By the way, my name is Jinwoo :) What's your name?" And that's when we became friends :) He is really cute and kind and his stomach rumbled in class hahahahaha so we all laughed at him and Annie was offering me some snacks (because everyone was hungry!) and I said, "No thanks~ But I think you should give some to Jinwoo :P" and we all laughed. Hehe. So I am really glad once again that I have moved classes!
For all you students out there, if you are in the same situation as I was before, where you feel extremely uncomfortable with your group-mates, then why not speak up and take action? Change classes before it's too late. Because I have definitely learnt that the atmosphere of a classroom will absolutely influence your attitude for that subject! Beforehand, I really hated Reshaping Environments because I had no friends but now I am starting to enjoy it! :) Cheers. xx
